Margaret Miller Retires from Chamber of Commerce

When you retire after serving the city of Ocean Springs for 28 years, they throw you a party.
It started with a parade full of music through downtown Ocean Springs and ended with cake and a celebration at the community center. All the commotion was for Margaret Miller, the executive director of the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce. Her official last day is December 31st. She started working for the chamber in 1987 and has overseen the Peter Anderson Festival grow throughout the years.
Miller tells News 25 that she’s enjoyed every minute of it. “It’s been a love affair with the wonderful town of Ocean Springs and the people of Ocean Springs. It’s been a wonderful partnership that I’ve enjoyed immensely. I say a love affair all the time.”
Miller tells News 25 she’s looking forward to everything life has to bring when she retires. She’s most excited to spend more time with her husband, five children and seven grandchildren.
