Man and woman arrested on charges of kidnapping, armed robbery, burglary, motor vehicle theft, and aggravated assault in Gulfport

On October 23, 2020, the Gulfport Police Department arrested 33-year-old Andrew James Treadaway and 42-year-old Sumer Ree Treadaway.

On October 23, 2020, at approximately 8:00 a.m., officers of the Gulfport Police Department responded to the 4000 block of Glover Street in reference to an assault complaint. Upon arrival, officers located a 78-year-old female suffering from serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that Andrew Treadaway and Sumer Treadaway had forcefully entered the residence of the victim. The suspects displayed a knife and assaulted the victim while demanding money. Andrew and Sumer Treadaway fled the residence in the victim’s vehicle.

Gulfport Police Patrol units, Detectives, and Crime Scene Units responded to the scene. The Gulfport Police Department contacted area law enforcement to be on the lookout for the victim’s vehicle. The vehicle was located, by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the D’Iberville Police Department, while occupied by Andrew and Sumer Treadaway.

They were taken into custody without further incident. Andrew and Summer Treadaway were charged with Armed Robbery, Kidnapping, Burglary, Motor Vehicle Theft, and Aggravated Assault.
