Man Rescued From Submerged Vehicle

Heavy fog caused dangerous driving conditions for one man who ended up in the waters at Henderson Point Saturday night.
According to Harrison County Fire Chief Pat Sullivan, it happened about 10:45 near the boat launch.
The man was driving down Bayview Street when all of a sudden he saw water in front of him and did not have time to stop before the car ended up halfway submerged.
The man was able to escape after kicking out the back window of his vehicle and climbing on top… Where he was able to call 911 from his cell phone.
AMR took the driver to a local hospital to check for hypothermia.
He was not injured but officials say it could have been far worse.
