Man arrested in Mobile in connection to Moss Point bank robbery

MOSS POINT, Miss. (WXXV) — A man suspected in the robbery of a Moss Point bank on Friday has been arrested, authorities say.

On Friday, January 8, 2021, at just after 3:30 p.m., police say a man walked into the Singing River Federal Credit Union and presented a teller with a note demanding money.

The teller provided the cash as directed and the suspect fled the building. The suspect drove away in a white Pontiac.

All local agencies were promptly provided a description of the vehicle and asked to be on the lookout.

At approximately 8:40 p.m., State Troopers from the Alabama Highway Patrol stopped a vehicle matching the description of the suspect’s vehicle.

Detectives from the Moss Point Police Department travelled to Alabama and interviewed the suspect. Following the interview, the detectives issued arrest warrants charging Jeremy Branch, 39, of the Mobile, AL area with Armed Robbery. He is currently being held at the Mobile Metro jail pending extradition
