Magnolia Pageant preparations
When you think of beauty pageants, usually Miss America or Miss Universe comes to mind. For some, the process of making it to that stage begins early in life. News 25’s Tanner Stewart tells us about how Long Beach youngsters are preparing for this year’s Magnolia Pageant.
Lights, camera, action! It all begins with a group of contestants and ends with one crown, but for some the preparation for the stage begins earlier than you expect.
These are just a few of the mothers that are helping their children win the crown at this year’s Little Miss and Mister Magnolia Pageant set for July 22nd in Vicksburg.
These kids are not camera shy. Little Armani Bridges isn’t the only one.
Five-year-old Gracelynn Smith has been doing pageants practically her entire life. Gracelynn, better known as Gracie, is used to winning over the judges.
The voting for this contest works different than most pageants. Unlike some adult pageants, the Little Miss and Mister Magnolia State Pageant consists of voting before the pageant begins, from anywhere, all over the world. Pageant Mother Chevez Bridges said, “Anyone can vote. Anyone from Gulfport to China to everywhere. Everybody can vote.”
They may be small, but these kids know how to be seen.
