Maggert Makes 150 Yd Trick Shot for Habitat for Humanity
Jeff Maggert took some time away from practicing to take aim at a target 150 yards away and across Beach Boulevard. If Maggert hits the 16 square foot target with at least one of his ten attempts, C Spire will donate $5,000 to Habitat for Humanity, and one lucky contestant will win a grand prize valued at over $15,000. Maggert says the experience may have helped him prepare for the tournament.
He says, “Hopefully it’s not quite this windy out there at Fallen Oak, it’s a little bit more protected, but certainly I’ve been hitting the ball well the past month or so and I’m looking forward to making a few putts this week and another run at the title.”
Maggert hit the target with his very first shot. Carl Hedberg won a new smartphone with a year of service and a Yamaha wave runner, but the real winner was Habitat for Humanity.
