JACKSON, Miss. (AP) – Mississippi Lieutenant Governor Delbert Hosemann has tested positive for the coronavirus.
The announcement about 73-year-old Lt. Gov. Delbert Hosemann came Tuesday, hours after Gov. Tate Reeves said his own test for coronavirus came back negative.
Reeves said Monday that a “large number” of legislators have tested positive for the virus, but he didn’t name them.
The state Health Department hasn’t released more information. The department conducted free drive-through COVID-19 testing Monday for legislators and others who work in the state Capitol.
