Long Beach Night out against Crime

Looking for something to do in the City of Long Beach this weekend? How about spending your evening getting to know some police officers!

The Long Beach Police Department will host their ‘Night out against Crime’ this Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Long Beach Town Green. This free event is open to the public with games and activities for all ages to enjoy.

It’s a wonderful opportunity for the kids to come out and meet the boys in blue face to face, outside of an emergency situation. Jenny Levens with the City of Long Beach said, “It’s just a cool way for the kids to get to know them. They can come by the station and see them, but it’s a different way to interact with them out in the community and out while they are doing their job. They can understand a little more about what they do.”

Twenty five different agencies will be at the event to spend some time with the kids.
