Long Beach names football coach

Less than two weeks after Long Beach High School announced its vacancy for a head football coach, the Bearcats have already found the man for the job.
The new sheriff in town is Philip Pigott who comes from Petal where he’s served as the defensive coordinator since 2015.
He replaces Forrest Williams, who was the head man for four seasons, and has now stepped in to serve in the role of assistant principal.
Long Beach is coming off its first winning season since 2011 and was one win away from the playoffs in 2017.
