Long Beach named ‘Most Patriotic City’ in Mississippi

For the second year in a row, Long Beach was named the ‘Most Patriotic City’ in Mississippi.

If you walk around Long Beach near the town green, it is easy to see why this Coastal city has earned the title as ‘most patriotic.’

Lining the streets, hanging on the city light poles are banners of past and present members of the U.S. military. The city was given this honor from ‘Insurify.’

‘Insurify’ used data from their science and research team to narrow down the most patriotic cities by state.  City of Long Beach Community Affairs Director Jenny Levens said, “It’s just an exciting thing for us. We proudly display the American flag. Of course, we attribute it to our military banners that we honor four times a year. We put them out July 4th, Veterans Day, Memorial Day, and Labor Day. It is a community thing.”

If you would like to have your loved one displayed on a banner in Long Beach message the City of Long Beach-Mayor’s Office page on Facebook.
