Long Beach man sentenced in child exploitation case
LONG BEACH, Miss. (WXXV)- Robert Stephan Wilson, Jr., 50, of Long Beach, Mississippi, was sentenced to 40 years today for one count of child exploitation.
This case originated with an undercover operation led by Attorney General Lynn Fitch’s office and was investigated and prosecuted by her office, with assistance from the Long Beach Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
“During our operation, we found thousands of images of child sexual abuse material stored on Wilson’s electronic devices,” said Attorney General Lynn Fitch. “We are committed to protecting our children from abuse and exploitation by predators online. I am grateful to our partners at the FBI and the Long Beach Police Department for their work to secure justice in this case and make the Internet a little safer.”
On July 27, 2026, Harrison County Circuit Court Judge Lisa P. Dodson sentenced Wilson to 40 years, with 18 years to serve day-for-day without the possibility of parole in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) and 5 years on probation. He was ordered to pay $1,000 to the Victims of Human Trafficking and Commercial Sexual Exploitation Fund and $1,000 to the Mississippi Children’s Trust Fund. Wilson must also register as a sex offender.
