Long Beach head football coach resigns

The number of Coast high schools looking for a new head football coach is now up to four.

Long Beach Head Coach Philip Pigott officially resigned his position today. The former Petal defensive coordinator spent the last two seasons with the Bearcats, finishing with a 4-18 record.

It was a tough 2019 for Long Beach, who put together a 1-10 record.

According to our media partner The Sun Herald, Long Beach has begun the search for a new head coach.
