Local sportsbooks ready for NFL regular season

The NFL regular season is back in full swing tonight and local sportsbooks on the Coast are ready for what’s in store.

The Scarlet Pearl Sportsbook in D’Iberville expects a great crowd tonight as the Green Bay Packers take on the Chicago Bears in the regular season opener.

You can also expect the place to be packed on Monday as the New Orleans Saints start their season against the Houston Texans in the Superdome.

Scarlet Pearl Sportsbook Manager Brad Carpenter tells News 25 there are a bunch of new things to be on the lookout for this year. “This year, we added the kiosks which we didn’t have last football season. So, we are really excited about that. We are also really excited about being here the whole season. We were late to the party last year, didn’t open until November. So, we are really excited about being here for the whole football season.”
