Local salons prepare for reopening

Salons began the process of disinfecting their common areas as they prepared to welcome back guests.

Crews from the Company Purteq spent part of the morning on Saturday spraying Lavish Salon with disinfectants in a multi-step process.

As the crews sprayed all the commonly touched surfaces found in a salon, Lavish Owner Leonie Simmons says the process gives her peace of mind. “They were able to spray. It’s going to take my cleaning efforts and my disinfecting efforts to the next level and at this point, whatever it takes to protect my clientele.”

Leonie says Lavish Salon will be open for business with every guideline set in place including temperature checks and a hand sanitizer station.
