Local organizations help warm spirits this holiday season

A local group based out of Gulfport is helping out the less fortunate in our area.

The Royalty Sister/Brotherhood has been collecting warm clothes and hygiene products for the homeless and less fortunate.

This past Sunday, they showed up in Santa hats and PPE to distribute the items at Feed my Sheep in Gulfport.

The group is compiled of determined men, women, and children, and their founders established the group on the basis of spreading love.  It is their third year participating in a giveaway for the home. Feed my Sheep Board Chairman David Lion said, “In particular when it gets cold, absolutely anything that is some type of protection from the weather, be it a blanket or a sleeping bad, it’s a God send for these people.”

Feed my Sheep operates Monday through Friday.

A few of the other groups that have been assisting this holiday season are St. Peter’s by the Sea Episcopal Church, First United Methodist, and Grace Memorial.
