Local mayors representing the Coast at annual meeting in Hawaii

Mayors from across the United States, including two of our Coast mayors, joined together in Honolulu, Hawaii, over the weekend for the 87th annual U.S. Conference of Mayors Meeting.

Biloxi Mayor ‘FoFo’ Gilich and Gulfport Mayor Billy Hewes were among several Coast leaders attending this year’s meeting, ranging from small town to large city mayors discussing a variety of priorities from transportation to jobs and much more.

News 25 spoke with Mayor Hewes through satellite interview today.

The U.S. Conference of Mayors is the official nonpartisan organization of cities with populations of 30,000 or more.
