Local girls receives donation from first responders

Two Gulfport girls were surprised this afternoon by local first responders in a special way.

Kaylee and Paige Wilson are the founders of Delicious Divas. They sell lemonade and then use the proceeds to buy mugs for first responders. Those responders get a mug and a hug.

They have been reaching out to first responders on the Coast and that’s when they heard Kaylee had been hurt in an accident where she fractured her skull and they wanted to give back.

Today they surprised Kaylee, who is almost completely healed, and her sister Paige with special shirts, a parade of fire trucks in their honor, and a cash donation to their cause. “We only do it for them, not to get things back for us,” said Kaylee.

Paige said, “We don’t think they get enough appreciation and we want to show them what we feel in our eyes because they do so much for us in return.”

Steve Rines with Gulfport Fire Department said, “We wanted to show support and appreciation for what they do. So, we got everybody together. We have different departments of different cities. We organize and a lot of them have already gotten mugs and they just appreciate what they do and just puts a smile on their face.”
