Local business owner feeds Biloxi police

A local community member has made the leap from MMA to helping those still working during the Coronavirus crisis.

Under normal circumstances, you can find Alan Belcher at his MMA Club helping to train others in the art.

However, in these new times, he’s shifted his focus to serve the community in a new way through food. Along with his two children, Belcher stopped by the Gruich Community Center in Biloxi today and donated a total of 30 pizzas to feed 85 Biloxi police officers as they continue to perform their duties.

Belcher says it is a no brainer for him to help out in this way. “They’re out here, they can’t really keep their distance and quarantine themselves at home. They have to be out there. So we really appreciate those guys and what they’re doing right now. So, this is our way of showing that.”

Belcher says he plans to serve more meals to other local agencies in the coming days.
