Local brewery sells hand sanitizer during crisis

Kiln, Miss.(WXXV)-With the store shelves bare of cleaners, sprays and sanitizers the lazy magnolia brewery is lending a helping hand. As the Coronavirus cases continue to climb in the magnolia state the brewery is making hand sanitizer. The sanitizer is a combination of alcohol and aloe to keep the hands moisturized.

Owner Leslie Henderson says she had to give back to the community during these tough times.

“We were lucky enough to have access to the materials and labor to get this done and to provide a great deal of hand sanitizer to the community. Plus, I have great relationships with a lot of chemical suppliers who helped us to get things we normally wouldn’t have been able to get. So it’s been a real community effort and from what I’m seeing, now a lot of other breweries and distilleries in the region and nationwide are getting on board and doing this,”said Henderson.

The brewery sold out today but will continue hand sanitizer sales next week.
