Lions Club learns about self-defense

Can you read somebody’s body language or do you know what to do if someone walked up to you and demanded your car?

This afternoon, members of the Ocean Springs Lions Club learned how trusting their intuition might just save their lives.

Lions Club President Valerie Guice has studied body language and self-defense since the 90s. She used her knowledge to help spread awareness on the importance of always staying aware of your surroundings.  “Pay attention to your intuition. Pay attention to what makes you feel uncomfortable and go with that. Don’t try to justify it or discount it, because your intuition will have your best interest at heart. Rarely, or I should say never, do we ever regret not following our gut.”
