Lil Boosie suing Biloxi PD and others
Rapper Lil Boosie is suing the Biloxi Police Department, Dillards, and other Edgewater Mall entities after a spring break altercation inside the mall back in April.
According to the lawsuit filed in the Harrison County Circuit Court, Boosie, whose real name is Torrence Hatch, claims he, his cousin, and her kids and members of his crew, were attacked by an off-duty officer while they were trying to mingle with fans and buy from the local community on April 9th.
The lawsuit claims the off-duty officer pepper-sprayed Lil Boosie and his crew and used racial slurs toward them causing physical and emotional distress.
News 25 reached out to the City of Biloxi for their response. Cecilia Dobbs Walton with City of Biloxi Public Affairs said, “The City of Biloxi received its first notice of these claims on Monday and a lawsuit was filed on Tuesday. The city is confident the Biloxi Police Department is not a proper party in this lawsuit.
The court documents also claim Boosie’s pregnant cousin fell down after she was pepper-sprayed which caused her to go into early labor and give birth to twins prematurely.
