Lifeguards needed in Biloxi

The City of Biloxi is looking for a few new sets of watchful eyes to watch over the community at two favorite swimming holes.
The city maintains two pools at the Biloxi Natatorium and the Donal Snyder Community Center. During the summer months, lifeguards are abundant and the natatorium is able to remain open on Saturdays, but currently the natatorium is closed on the weekends and has, at times, closed during regular hours due to a lack of manpower.
Having a fully staffed crew would fix those issues and keep the pools up and running. Head Lifeguard Danny Walton said, “We’re able to give back to the community, give back to the public, or the people that have bought year round passes. We don’t like to close early or shutdown due to shortage of lifeguards and right now we do have a shortage of lifeguards. Normally, we teach one class a year in April, this year, me personally I’ve taught four lifeguard classes to help recruit people to be aware that we do have positions open here at the natatorium.”
You can call the Biloxi Natatorium at 228-435-6108 to find out more about the requirements to be a lifeguard.
