Lieutenant Governor urges storm prep

Mississippi Lieutenant Governor Tate Reeves stopped by Pascagoula today to take part in the groundbreaking ceremony for the Courtyards at the Dock.
The Lt. Governor and everyone at the ceremony enjoyed the sunshine that the day offered, however, Reeves was quick to remind the crowd about the upcoming threats of Tropical Storm Nate. Tropical Storm Nate is heading toward the Gulf Coast and could strengthen to a hurricane by Sunday.
Reeves knows that the storm path can still change, but he is urging residents to be prepared. “As beautiful as it out here today, that’s only 48 hours or so from actually hitting landfall somewhere in the Gulf of Mexico. We just need to monitor it and we know that our EOC folks in Jackson, as well as our EOC folks here on the Gulf Coast, are getting prepared. We just need more and more people across the Gulf Coast to recognize it is out there and be cognizant and be prepared.”
Preparations for Tropical Storm Nate’s arrival are already in full swing.
