Libraries in Jackson and George counties offering extended programs and services on Facebook

Jackson-George Library System is encouraging all library patrons to use free programs and services on their Facebook page found at Jackson George Library.

In an effort to continue serving patrons during the COVID-19 crisis, the library system is offering Facebook LIVE programs and events for the public.

The library is offering story-time for children twice a week, Tuesdays at 6 p.m. and Thursdays at 11 a.m., on Facebook Live.

Other offerings are drawing, crafts, meditation, chair yoga and much more. Anyone can join in the free classes and programs.

Along with the free programs, the library is offering links to other services that do not require a library card. Anyone in the area may ask for a library card for using digital services. To request a card, send an e-mail to getacard@jgrls.org. All electronic services, including eBooks, audio books, magazines, language learning and more is available on the library website at www.jgrls.org.
