Less Than 6 Weeks Before Biloxi Special Mayor’s Election

Biloxi is less than six weeks out until the special mayoral election and rumors are still swirling as to who will officially announce their candidacy.

Fofo Gilich is still the only candidate to file paperwork with the city. The election will be held April 28th and one candidate must get more than 50% of the vote to win. If all the candidates who are rumored to run actually file with the city to become eligible, the city anticipates a runoff election will be needed. Windy Swetman has made an official announcement last week and Felix Gines is schedule to make his announcement Saturday.
