Left Cassie Barker Out On Bond

Former Long Beach Police Officer Cassie Barker is out on bond after turning herself in to authorities to answer manslaughter charges in the death of her three year old daughter Cheyene Hyer.

Her bond just 50-thousand dollars is something that doesn’t sit well with Hancock County authorities.
Hancock County Justice Court Judge Tommy Carver did not hold hearing prompting complaints from law enforcement because investigators fear barker might leave the state.
Cheyenne was found unresponsive in the back of Barker’s patrol car one week ago and later died at a hospital.
Barker claimed she fell asleep while visiting fellow officer Clark Ladner.
The two have since been fired from Long Beach PD.
At this time officials do not plan to charge Ladner.
