Lee Greenwood Performs at Harrah’s Gulf Coast

The Fourth of July weekend was kicked off in patriotic fashion at Harrah’s Casino tonight. Singer and song writer Lee Greenwood put on a free concert for fans.
The concert started at 7 on the Great Lawn at Harrah’s Gulf Coast. Greenwood stopped in Mississippi as his book tour ended.
He says the Fourth of July is his busiest holiday, but never gets tired of performing “God Bless the USA” for his fellow Americans. “You’d have to walk in my shoes to know about how I feel when I sing “God Bless the USA”. Whether it’s for a military audience or a civilian audience, to raise pride of American and have us always remember that America is the free beacon for everyone who wants to come here, nobody is trying to get out of America. So, when I sing “God Bless America”, I have a warm place in my heart.”
The celebration at Harrah’s will continue tomorrow with Biloxi’s fireworks show starting at 9 p.m. Gates open at 7 and bringing blankets and lawn chairs is encouraged.
