Learning new creative skills at the Kroc Center

Gulf Coast kids will have the chance to master a creative skill over a 13 week period.

The Salvation Army is kicking off their creative arts academies. These courses allow children eight years and up the chance to learn skills of their choice from music, dance, pottery, or art.

This is a once a week group that will last for an hour and at the end of the 13 weeks the students will be able to showcase what they have been working on. Jennifer Weiss with the Salvation Army Kroc Center said, “It’s a really fun way to get that extracurricular education, but with a fun group environment. You make new friends. You get a mentor that is a pro in what they do and you get to have fun games and at the end they all get to perform in a recital which is really fun.”

To sign up for these classes you can go online to krocmscoast.org or stop by the Kroc Center in Biloxi and register in person.
