Leadership Gulf Coast Gives Back

Improvements to the Harrison County Emergency Youth Shelter are on the way.
On Monday morning, the 2016 class of Leadership Gulf Coast presented the Harrison County Youth Courts with a $3,600 check. That money will be used to provide swings for children at the shelter to play on. Leadership Gulf Coast wants to prepare the area’s current and potential leaders for the future. A large part of that preparation is giving back to the area in which they live. Carlos Bell with Leadership Gulf Coast said, “The donation is going to purchase a swing set for the kids so they’ll have something to do and play in their playground. They need a lot of upgrades and as a class of 2016, we’re challenging our community to come out and help as well. We’re very excited about that.”
Bell went on to encourage community members to look into the Harrison County Youth Court and research how they can help out as well.
