Law and Justice Day in Pascagoula

Ever wonder what law enforcement officers go through on a daily basis? Today, Jackson County residents found out.
Leadership Jackson County brought their students to the Pascagoula Police Range for a meet and greet with officers. They were shown different equipment and tools police officers use every day on the job.
The students had hand on experience and dialogue with law enforcement officers, something members of Leadership Jackson County think is important at this time in our country. Leadership Jackson County Chairman Joe Martin said, “It’s good for citizens to be able to have one on one interaction with law enforcement. I think we probably need more of that, but it’s a great, great program with people, both men and women, from all walks of life, work everywhere, some of them retired, some of them not. They get to interact with law enforcement. I think it’s a very, very important thing that we do.”
Pascagoula law enforcement officers also demonstrated K-9 training for the students.
