The latest on when children return to school following Hurricane Zeta
(WXXV) — Several school districts in South Mississippi have announced a return to in-person learning after Hurricane Zeta.
Here is what we know:
- Jackson County School District will resume regular class schedule on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
- Gulfport School District will resume regular class schedule on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Buses will run regular routes, but arrival times may be slower than normal.
- Hancock County School District will resume regular class schedule on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Also, students K-8 will no longer distance learn on Wednesdays. Grades 9-12 will continue to distance learn on Wednesdays until further notice.
- George County School District will not have class on Tuesday, Nov. 3. A decision regarding school for Wednesday, November 4, 2020 will be made and announced no later than 5 pm on Tuesday, Nov. 3. All George County School District staff should report as regularly scheduled on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
- Harrison County School District will not have classes on Tuesday, Nov. 3. The plan is to resume classes on Wednesday, Nov. 4.
