Lambrecht Road Swept Away

One road in Gulfport has had a part swept away due to the rain.
Crews were out this morning blocking off a part of Lambrecht Road near Robinson Road in Gulfport. They believe high waters wore away at the road and caused it to break away. Until it stops raining, Harrison County Emergency representatives tell News 25 they will not be able to get anyone out there to survey it or begin to fix it. Until then, they encourage drivers to avoid the area.
Harrison County EMA Director Rupert Lacy tells News 25 early measurements show the county has received much more rain than anticipated.
Lacy tells News 25 to stay away from these areas and others where you see standing water.
