Labor Day Safety Tips

The unofficial ending to summer is just a few days away.

Labor Day Weekend for most is the last big hurrah after the start to school, but as you begin to flock to the water, Department of Marine Resources wants you to keep a few things in mind.

Wear a life jacket at all times, don’t drink and operate a vessel, watch for inclement weather, and be courteous to others on the water.

DMR will be out in full force to ensure the safety of all who hit the water this weekend. You can visit dmr.ms.gov for more information on boat and water safety.
