Krewe of Neptune Parade Marshal Michael Lewis

It’s supposed to be a picture perfect day for all the Mardi Gras parades that are set for this weekend, including the Krewe of Neptune Parade on Saturday.
The parade will be led by parade marshal Michael Lewis, team ambassador for the New Orleans Saints. Lewis, known as the ‘Beer Man’, is best known for the grit and determination that eventually landed him a spot with the Saints, after a stint working as a beer truck driver. Lewis is the Saints’ all-time career leader in punt returns and punt return yardage.
He will join past kings and queens in the Gulf Coast Krewe of Neptune Parade, which has been rolling since 1981. The parade kicks off Saturday at 5:30 p.m. It will begin on the corner of Main Street and Esters Boulevard and will end at Bayview Avenue and Caillavet Street.[mappress mapid=”2152″]
