Krewe of Nereids Mardi Gras Parade

The 50th annual Krewe of Nereids Mardi Gras Parade took place Sunday.
The parade kicked off at noon in Bay St. Louis. The route began at the intersection of Drinkwater and Highway 90 and ended at Auderer Street and Highway 90 in Waveland.
Resident Randel Hearndon was beyond excited and definitely in the Mardi Gras spirit. “I love the floats. I love the throws. The kids love it. We come out every year. We only live a block from here so it’s convenient. It’s always a safe environment here in Bay St. Louis and we have a great time.”
The next parade takes place in Ocean Springs for the Ocean Springs Carnival Association Night Parade on February 9th.
