Krewe of Neptune Coronation Ball rehearsals

Tonight, the Krewe of Neptune held a rehearsal to prepare for their 34th annual Coronation Ball.
Tonight, the 2018 court got a chance to practice for their big night, taking place this Saturday at the Biloxi Civic Center. The ball is invite only and there are about 1,400 people expected to attend the anticipated event.
At Saturday’s ball, the new king and queen will be crowned, followed by a night of fun and dancing.
News 25 spoke to Cassey Toney, one of this year’s maids, who tells us why this event is so important for the Krewe of Neptune. “This ball is so exciting for the Krewe of Neptune because we work so hard all year long. We practice skits. We practice walking out. We go to New Orleans multiple times to get our costumes fitted. We work out to fit in our costumes. It’s a fun night for everyone to shine. This ball is sold out. It’s essentially the hottest ticket on the Coast.”
The Krewe of Neptune will also be putting on a Mardi Gras parade on February 10th for everyone to enjoy. News 25 will have a live broadcast from the parade, bringing the fun right to your home.
