Krewe of Neptune announces celebrity grand marshal for Neptune Mardi Gras parade

The Krewe of Neptune is pleased to announce the 2019 Grand Marshal for the Neptune Parade will be actor, musician and filmmaker John Schneider. The Neptune Parade will be held in downtown Biloxi, MS on March 2, 2019 beginning at 5:30pm. Neptune is extremely excited to have John as their celebrity Grand Marshal, continuing a tradition started when Neptune first moved its parade to the Saturday night prior to Fat Tuesday, better known as “Neptune Saturday”.

John Schneider began his rise to stardom in the late 1970s and early 80s as Bo Duke on CBS’s Dukes of Hazzard. Over the years, John’s acting resume includes roles as Jonathan Kent on CW’s Smallville and most recently as a celebrity contestant on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. John has also had a very successful country music career, topping the Country Billboard charts 4 times in his career at number one.

The Neptune Parade will begin on the corner of Main Street & Esters Blvd traveling south to Highway 90. The parade will turn north on Lamuese Street passing Biloxi City Hall before turning left onto Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd. Upon reaching Howard Avenue, the parade will turn right and then make an immediate right on to Caillavet Street, finally disbanding at the corner of Bayview Avenue & Caillavet Street.

Following the Neptune Parade, the highly anticipated after party, Neptunalia, will be held at the Hard Rock Live inside the Hard Rock Casino & Resort with doors opening at 7:30pm. Headlining Neptunalia this year is multi-platinum recording artist Juvenile. Known for his hit singles “Back That Thang Up” and “Slow Motion” as well numerous hits while performing with the hip hop group the Hot Boys, Juvenile will help Neptune keep the celebration going all night. Opening for Juvenile will be national recording artist, 69 Boyz, known for the hit singles “Tootsee Roll” and “Kitty Kitty”. Tickets are available to the public for Neptunalia at:
