Kiwanis Club of Gulfport host 66th annual Pancake Day
The Kiwanis Club of Gulfport is serving up their hot, fluffy pancakes as they host their 66th annual Pancake Day.
This is the club’s largest fundraiser of the year and all the funds raised go toward supporting local programs for students across the Coast.
Students from Gulfport High School Key Club are helping serve and pack plates. Guests have the option to eat in, take out, or drive thru.
About 2,500 plates of pancakes are served each year. Travis Moore with the Kiwanis Club said, “We have programs in all the schools from grade school to high school. We recognize children for what they do and what they are trying to do. We encourage them to help build their character and become leaders in our community.”
The Pancake Day lasts until 7 tonight at First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall on the corner of 15th Street and 23rd Avenue in Gulfport. The plates are $6.
