King cake pick up event at the Claiborne at Gulfport Highlands

The Claiborne at Gulfport Highlands was letting the good times roll with a king cake pick up for the community.

Forty king cakes were passed out in a drive-thru format for senior citizens in the community to get out and celebrate the Mardi Gras season in a safe manner.

The Claiborne at Gulfport Highlands is a senior living facility with 70 assisted living and 30 memory care patients that is scheduled to open in May of this year. Executive Director Dianne Moody said, “Just the activities and the events we are going to have to keep them active and independent. You know COVID-19 has been very trying on people, especially seniors. I think we just want them to know that they are going to be safe if they choose to live at the Claiborne with us.”

The Claiborne is locally owned and operated by a family in Mississippi. They are currently pre-leasing apartments and have specials going on.
