Kettlethon kicked off this Morning

The Salvation Army Kettlethon kicked off this morning and the Swetman family was at it again.
Harrison County District 1 Supervisor Windy Swetman and his wife were at the Biloxi Visitor Center ringing that iconic bell trying to raise money. Swetman and his wife came up with the idea about three years ago and they continued that tradition today. They arrived at the visitor center at 6 this morning and plan on staying until 6 tonight, all until they hit their intended $5,000 goal. “Well, we started at 6 this morning when the sun was rising and it’s been good,” said Swetman, “There’s been a lot of local people that made a special trip to come out here and put money in the kettle. It was great to see the moms and dads bring their kids before school this morning and let them contribute. South Mississippi is such a charitable community. It’s such a faith based community and that’s what we’re here promoting. This has been a great day so far.”
