Kemp’s Conservator beer released today

Chandeleur Island Brewing Company, along with the Mississippi Aquarium, released Kemp’s Conservator beer for its second season.

A portion of the sales of the Munich lager goes to helping protect the Kemp’s Ridley Sea Turtles.

Kemp’s Conservator is one of the three beers part of the Conservation Beer series at Chandeleur Brewing. The others are White Tip Wit for shark conservation and Croctober Fest for crocodilian conservation.

The beer’s label was illustrated by Gulfport artist Robert Waldrop, who also has painted two murals for the Aquarium which feature the Kemp’s Ridley Sea Turtles. Mississippi Aquarium VP of Animal Care and Conservation Ric Urban said, “The Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle– which is one of the sea turtles that we have out in the Mississippi Sound and it’s a very important animal that we need to protect along our coast line. So, doing work for sea turtles is what we want to do here at the Mississippi Aquarium. And Robert’s been a great supporter of the Mississippi Aquarium.”

Kemp’s Conservator is a limited beer and is only available while supplies last.
