Keesler Air Force Base marks 25 Years since 9/11 with remembrance event

Twenty-five years later, the memory of 9/11 continues to live on as Keesler Air Force Base honored those who lost their lives and those who answered the call to serve.
Keesler Air Force Base hosted a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony, bringing together hundreds of airmen, first responders, and community leaders to honor the lives lost and sacrifices made.
Twenty-five years later, the legacy of 9/11 lives on in a new generation of airmen who didn’t experience that day, but still understand why it is important to remember.
The ceremony featured a silent march, a performance of ‘Amazing Grace’ by a bagpiper, and a ceremonial flag folding by Keesler Airmen, keeping the memory of 9/11 alive for the next generation.
