Katrina +10

Tonight, architects, business leaders, and city officials gathered at the Ohr O’Keefe Museum to take a closer look at how the architecture, school and businesses have changed since Katrina. The program is part of the Katrina +10 exhibit the museum has put on to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Katrina.
"I always run into things where people are saying, why would you want to talk about Katrina. And then three seconds later they tell me let me tell you about my Katrina story”, said Kevin O’Brien who is the Executive Director of the Ohr O’Keefe Museum of Art.
Wendy Swetman of Swetman Security Service said, "From a company standpoint, certainly we were all changed by Katrina. We look at the diversity that we have how we’re spread out across the market through Mississippi now as a company. So we have more resources, more assets in the event that Mississippi is hit with a storm”.
"It’s a very cathartic event for a lot of people here where they can actually experience that, and really share their own emotions and experiences. And that’s very important to us, and that’s really what this whole exhibit is about”, said O’Brien.
