Jury duty fine scam

Jackson County Sheriff’s Department is warning citizens of a scam involving jury duty.
Dispatchers started receiving calls this week from citizens who say someone is calling them claiming to be a member of the department. The caller says they need to go to the courthouse to pay a fine for not showing up for jury duty and if the fine isn’t paid the person will be arrested.
