Judy Young’s first day as Coastal Mississippi executive director

Coastal Mississippi has a new leading lady as Judy Young stepped into her role as executive director today.

The Texas native has more than 20 years of experience working in tourism and travel.

As executive director, Young leads all marketing, sales, communication, operational efforts, and much more for the organization that promotes the Gulf Coast as a tourism and convention destination.

She says it is the beauty of South Mississippi, the food, and the people that brought her to Coastal Mississippi. “It’s been wonderful. We’ve met folks from all walks of life. Everyone has the same desire and pride and passion, a place that is essential to a destination.”

Young tells News 25 that it’s the communities and the people you serve that makes the difference.
