Judge Nullifies Tom Brady Suspension

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady receives an off-the-field victory today. A judge nullified the NFL’s four game suspension in the DeflateGate case.
The NFL suspended Brady in May after an investigation revealed a scheme to use under-inflated balls in last season’s AFC championship game. The four game suspension Brady would have faced is equivalent to a player facing consequences for use of steroids or domestic violence.
Gulf Coast radio sports broadcaster Tommy D is not surprised by the ruling. “He doesn’t want his past tarnished and if he was suspended, even for one game, that’s always going to be there. That mark is always going to be on his resume and he didn’t want that. So, in a way, I have to respect him for sticking strong to what he believed in and he believed, he says he’s innocent.”
The NFL plans to appeal the nullification.
