Joyce’s Cool Cutz in Gulfport hosting benefit tomorrow

Joyce’s Cool Cutz Salon in Gulfport isn’t cutting corners when it comes to raising money for a wheelchair accessible van for one of their stylists.

About two weeks ago, a client was inspired by hard working stylist Stephanie and her disabled son, Darian. Darian will soon turn 15 and is wheelchair dependent so this van will ease transportation for the two.

The benefit is Saturday starting at 11:30 in the parking lot of Joyce’s Cool Cutz. Stephanie Huddleston said, “When we moved here we were by ourselves, but the community has come together whether it’s people I work with or just meeting people out. People are becoming our family down here.”

Joyce Miller said, “She’s only been here about a month and a half, but since she’s been here she’s been rocking and rolling. She works 10 to 12 hours most days. She’s been giving it her all.”

Tomorrow at 11:30 there will be a car show, a DJ, hot dogs, and raffling for baskets. Darian will be pulling tickets for the raffle.
