Josette’s Costume Shop is going out of business

Since 1972, Josette’s Costume Shop is the hidden gem for costumes for any occasion.

The store will be closing its doors soon due to the growing interest in online shopping. The shop isn’t saying farewell without having a ‘thriller’ sale just in time for the spooky season.

Everything in the store is 75 percent off as those at Josette’s try to get rid of inventory and as a way of saying thank you to those who have shown support all these years. Josette’s Vice President Crystal Locklar said, “A costume shop like this, with so much history in the community, you can become a part of the community. You become involved in so many different groups throughout the Coast that you really do feel like you are a part of something special.”

News 25’s Jaylon Morris took a trip to Josette’s for a closer look in the shop and to get his Halloween outfit together. Make sure you tune in tomorrow morning at 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. for this week’s Halloween edition of ‘In Your Shoes.’
