It’s Jolly Time: Fundraiser returns this weekend

It’s a western theme for the 17th annual Jolly McCarty Memorial Gala and Golf Tournament.

After being canceled a few times in 2020 due to the pandemic and Hurricane Zeta, the Jolly returns and is happening Friday and Saturday.

It’s put on by Bacot McCarty Foundation and raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for local charities and scholarships.

The gala is Friday at the Grand Magnolia in Pascagoula and the golf tournament is Saturday at the Shell Landing Golf Club in Gautier. Bacot McCarty Executive Director Todd Trenchard said, “I think it’s just exciting that we’re getting everyone back together and that we are returning to some normalcy on the Coast and across the country. It is a great time to celebrate what is so great about our community. So, we are expecting a great time, a great fundraiser, and a great event.”

The golf tournament Saturday is sold out. For more information on the Bacot McCarty Foundation be sure to visit their website or Facebook page.
