Johnson and Johnson Vaccine arrives at Singing River Health System

This morning, Singing River Health Systems received their first shipments of the Johnson and Johnson COVID vaccine.

The Johnson and Johnson Vaccine is the newest on the market. The single dose vaccine was released this week after emergency approval.

On Singing River Health System’s Facebook page are more details for appointment times and locations.

Vaccines using the Johnson and Johnson formula will begin on Monday. Singing River Pharmacist Chris Ayers said, “The state notified us that we were able to receive the new Johnson and Johnson Vaccine that just got emergency approval. We received some doses this morning. We’ve started scheduling those appointments. They’re going very fast. So, if anyone is interested in that just need to call one of our clinics and they can get set up for that.”

Singing River received about 1,000 doses of the Johnson and Johnson Vaccine. They’re hoping to get more as the state receives more.
